#12 x 1-1/2 inch Metal to Metal Type 5 Metal Roofing Screws 250 Count
  • 5/16” Hex Head and ~9/16” EPDM washer - Shaft is .212” (#12) Width .562” - Length 1-1/2“
  • The #12 x 1-1/2" Screw Has a Maximum Material Thickness of 5/8" with a 5/8" Drill Tip
  • Coarse Threaded Type 5 Screws generally used in thinner or lighter steel or aluminum products
  • Metal to Metal roofing screw heads are painted with two part polyurethane for long life. (Not Zinc)
  • #12 Type 5 Sheet Metal roofing screws are galvanized for corrosion resistance

#12 x 1-1/2 Inch Type 5 Metal to Metal ROOFING SCREWS:
All our metal roofing screws use EPDM washers to seal the screw to metal roofing panel to prevent leaking. The EPDM washer is bonded to a galvanized steel washer to prevent sealing issues and to place even pressure on the EPDM washer. Our metal roofing screw EPDM washers hold up well to ozone, ultraviolet radiation, harsh outdoor environmental conditions and temperature extremes. Compared to neoprene washers, the EPDM temperature range of -60 to 350 F is far superior to Neoprene washers which have a much narrower temperature range. (EPDM - synthetic rubber)

ONLY screw head is painted to ensure EPDM washer seals to metal roof. NO paint on the threads to maximize holding strength

NOTE: Please keep in mind when choosing the screw color to match your roofing that due to differences in computer screens, in sheet metal roofing production, roofing screw production runs and age of existing metal, the color you order and the color of your roofing may vary to some degree

Depending on the application and personal preference, No Paint/Galvanized Zinc screws go well with many types of gray, galvanized and other colors of roofing sheet metal. Generally buying galvanized coated screws is a great way to purchase a long lasting but low cost roofing screw

When Installing these screws we recommend using screw-gun with torque control or a depth sensing feature. Impact tools are not recommended.
